Roxio Creator (formerly Easy Media Creator) is a popular multimedia software suite for Windows. It is used for creating DVDs and Blu-ray discs and also includes video and audio editing tools. Creator supports a wide range of multimedia file formats, which can be imported into playlists or burned to discs as audio CDs, movies, or slideshows. Creator can also capture video from Internet streams or digital camcorders. Video can be edited and converted for playback on various multimedia devices. Creator also includes tools for making jewel case and disc labels, which can be printed from a home printer.

The Creator interface provides project category tabs that guide users through different multimedia tasks. After selecting a project category, users add multimedia files and prepare them for production using the built-in editing and conversion tools. The resulting multimedia content can be burned to a disc or exported to one of several file formats. Creator also includes a "Media Manager" feature which is a Windows Explorer-like interface for locating and organizing media files. Additionally, Creator installs a desktop icon, which can be used to drag and drop files and burn discs.

Creator can be used to create video, photo, and music compilations. It accepts input from a wide range of video sources, including AVCHD camcorder streams and other high definition video formats. Imported multimedia files may be edited on a 32-track timeline to overlay video clips, photos, music, and transitions. Finished movies can be burned to disc or exported to several different video file formats. Video can be exported to common video players, including iPods, Sony PSPs, and TiVo DVRs. Creator also offers DVD authoring tools with built-in themes and DVD menu customization options.

When creating a music compilation, audio may be ripped from a CD or DVD, or imported directly from the hard drive. Users may also record and edit sound clips using Creator’s Sound Editor, which includes tools for trimming audio and creating audio mashups. Audio files can be burned to an audio CDs or exported to music file formats, such as .MP3 and .M4A. Creator can also create playlists and export music to iTunes or other audio players.

Creator is used by a wide range of PC users. Its developer, Sonic Solutions, has shipped over 350 million copies worldwide. By integrating digital music, video, and photo management into a single software package, Creator offers a total multimedia solution for home PC users.
